02

Why am I not getting results from my cardio exercise?

The question is hard to answer because I don’t know what you’re looking for. First, you have to know the results you’re looking for. Secondly, is cardio the best method for your goal? Thirdly, if cardio is the best method to obtain your goal you have to do different types of cardio, and change your intensity. Fourthly, you may not get the results because you’re eating badly or you may need to incorporate lifting weights with your cardio.

03

How do I choose a personal trainer?

You pick a trainer who looks and acts like a professional, He/she also has to be an educator at the same time. If you ask him/her a question they should be able to explain to you why you need to do this and what’s the pros and cons of what you’re doing. The quality is that your trainer has to have a lot of zeal or passion.

07

If I wanted to do my training from home, what equipment would I need and how much would it cost?

The equipment that I would recommend would be the pull-up device you hook on your door, Swiss ball, medicine ball, mat, jump rope, box you can jump on about three feet, resistance bands and clothes and shoes. However, you don’t need all of this to start just buy as you go and eventually you will get everything.

08

If I trained once a week with a Personal Trainer would that session be enough or would I need to do more exercise outside seeing the trainer?

Train once a week with a personal trainer is alright if you’re an individual that have the drive to push yourself to work out 2 or more times by yourself. If not no. Of course you need to work out outside from seeing the trainer the minimum of 2 or more times a week. I would repeat again otherwise you’re not putting enough stress on your heart and or muscles.

16

What's the best way to lose fat?

  *Resistance Training

  *Cardio

*Dieting or changing your eating pattern

*Stop eating after 7 or 8pm

17

Should I do cardio first or resistance training first?

You should always try to do weight training first because you builds muscle, burns all of the muscle glycogen in your muscle. This just energy in your muscle which is the calories that you need to expend so you can lose 1 to2 lbs. of fat a week. Also, when you do cardio first you use a lot of energy so your weight training program might suffer due to lack of energy while working out.

18

What is my target heart rate?

I use the Karvonen Formula, which is:

*Subtract age

*Predict, age adjusted maximum

*Subtract resting heart rate

*Subtract heart rate reserve

*Multiply by exercise intensity of 60-80%

*Add resting heart breaking

*Add target heart rate (beats 1 minute)
